A member asked:

When a doctor draws blood from an area, is it more beneficial to draw it near the vein that is closer to the problem area (ex. neck) for better result?

NO: Blood should be drawn from whenever its easier. Makes no difference if site of phlebotomy is closer to area of problem.

Blood drawing.: Blood can be drawn from any vein to determine blood chemistries or any signs of infection. There is no need to draw blood close to a problematic area.
