Thick blood: There are family inheritance patterns for hypercoagulability .Certain factors in the blood may be lacking.Speak to your medical doctor regarding this.Also blood clots can occur from plane travel "air travel thrombosis" so if your DVT occurred after plane travel that could be the reason , support hose during plane travel is very helpful in DVT prevention.
