You can get preg: The myth of breastfeeding preventing pregnancy comes from the fact that some women who exclusively breastfeed do not have periods thus they do not ovulate. This is not a reliable method of birth control. I would not rely on this. If you are breastfeeding and having periods then you likely are ovulating. Better to start a breastfeeding safe method of birth control.
