Can be from...: Red spots can be from many causes, such as: viral infections, other infections, medication causes, strep throat, hot-tub rashes, heat rashes, reactions to creams / lotions, allergic reactions to various things (including foods), internal disorders (such as kidney disease, auto-immune disease), etc... That means any rash that persists or is worrisome in appearance needs to be checked by a doctor.

Rashes need doctors : There are too many possibilities for anyone to guess what is happening. If you don't feel sick, you may not need to do anything. Lots of rashes go away without treatment. But if you want a diagnosis, see a dermatologist. They know about 600 different rashes ! and even then, it can be hard to be sure. Get well soon.
