"Burning Mouth": This sounds like the "burning mouth syndrome "which is a poorly understood problem. Typically it occurs women over the age of 40 and is felt to possibly be under hormonal control. It's also possible that it could be secondary to a virus. Extremely annoying I have found that relief can occur with a low acid diet and rinsing your mouth with mylanta liquid after each meal and before bed.

Burnt tongue: Sounds like a possible allergic reaction. A otc antihistamine may work if no change you will need to see you dentist for further evaluation. If swelling occurs go to emergency room to address possible airway restriction and managment . Side effect from prescription medication could also be a cause. Consult the prescribing doctor if you are on medications.
