Surgical Evaluation: I would confirm a diagnosis of gastroparesis first with a nuclear medicine gastric emptying study. If various medical remedies have failed, i.e. Reglan, (metoclopramide) you may be a candidate for a surgical procedure such as pyloroplasty, depending on the surgical procedures you had previously.

Gastric stimulation: Mediations such as reglan, (metoclopramide) Cisapride (difficult to get in the us) and domperidone (not available in the us) may help. Enterra gastric stimulator manufactured by medtronic is a reasonable option. Final option is to remove the stomach.
