I had a spontaneous subdural hematoma resulting in a successful crani and evacuation of the hematoma. how common is it to have a reocurrance ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on cause: Trauma is the more common cause for subdurals. Bleeding disorders are another common cause. Anticoagulant use may lead to subdurals. In rare cases no cause can be found. Recurrence depends on the cause and the awareness of risks.
