It's possible: It is possible that your screw can work its way out, or cause discomfort in situ. If this happens, talk with your surgeon, as he/she may be able to easily remove the screw if your repair has sufficiently healed. This usually requires local anesthesia with sedation, or occassionally a general anesthesia to quickly remove the screw.

UNLIKELY: Acl surgery is a reconstruction with a graft. The fixation can be a screw but it rarely moves. If it does it can be removed.
