The criteria for get: The criteria for being eligible for disability is dependent on the type of disability you are applying for and the functional impact that the diagnosis has on your life and work ability. A diagnosis of arthritis alone does not make one eligible for disability. A proper assessment by a physician who understands the best treatment options and is able to do a functional assessment would be helpful.
