Proper Nutrition: I think the point of the saying "feed the cold & starve the fever" is that you should do your best to have especially extra fluids and some calories even though you don't feel well. When we don't eat and drink enough, our bodies will get weaker in fighting the cold. Extra fluid is needed with fever to keep our bodies from getting too dry inside.
