See a Specialist: Most injuries will heal with time but since you are still suffering there may be something more going on within you knee that could be treatable with physical therapy, injection, or even surgery. Now is the time to see a specialist and possibly have more advanced imaging like a mri. Pain around the knee cap can be due to muscular imbalance which can be improved with therapy.

Get ortho exam: You need a good ortho exam, x-rays, and possible mri you may have some degenerative or alignment patella issues or other knee internal derangements( menuiscal).
