Oral supplement?: Cramps, stomach ache, constipation, less often diarrhea; occasional flare of inflammatory bowel disease. Iv supplementation can cause allergic reaction, fever, joint aches and pains, rash.

Agree with Dr. H: You can reduce the common side effects by taking the pills with meals. Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless.
