What is a large amount of igm in your blood

Its an antibody.: Antibody types in your blood include igg, IgA and igm. When there is a generalized increase in antibodies, which can happen with inflammation, it's call "polyclonal." if there is a single antibody molecule that is increased, it's "monoclonal". That can be either benign (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) or a sign of cancer, usually a lymphoma, diagnosed by bone marrow biopsy.

Agree with Dr. R: A large amount of uniform IgM is a usual feature of Waldenstrom's disease, a lymphoma.
