How common is vocal cord dysfunctional in the diagnosis of late onset asthma?

Common enough: Vocal cord dysfunction is worth considering in all patients with suspected new onset asthma. Many physicians are not familiar with the condition so it's a diagnosis that is frequently missed and not considered. Most pulmonary doctors would be familiar with the diagnosis.

See below: As far as i understand, vocal cord dysfunction and asthma are separate entities, but i would like to see a pulmonologist's opinion.
