Difficulty swallowing (dysphagia) in an infant or child with gerd and allergies raises the possibility of eosinophilic esophagitis (ee), a relatively newly-defined disorder allergic disorder which resembles but is different from gerd. Diagnosis requires esophageal endoscopy. Talk to your pediatrician about ee.
