Baby movements: Babies are born with a nervous system under construction.Refinements continue well into the 20's. Newborns move their arms and legs randomly, until several months of age when they gain purposeful movements. Stretching and stiffening can be primitive reflexes triggered by movement or sound.Newborns also do not understand sleep, or work for it.They often fight slumber to avoid missing events.
