Abnormal: Blood in the urine in more common in women and most of the time is caused by a urinary tract infection. Visible blood in the urine is usually a sign to a lower urinary tract damage but not exclusively. In people younger the 40 years, the most common cause in either a kidney stone or a bladder infection. Schedule an appointment with your pcp to check your urine and possibly treatment for infection.
