What does it mean when you pee blood but when you wipe there is no blood and you have pain in your left side?

Kidney stone: It sounds like you may have a kidney stone, especially with the flank pain. Sometimes, it is blood tinged because the blood gets diluted with urine so you may not see it when you wipe. I suggest seeing your doctor or going to a clinic for a urine test to be sure.

Something serious: You may be bleeding from a lesion in your kidney. If you have pain with urination it most likely is an infection. Hematuria (blood in the urine) that is painless is more concerning. Please see your family physician very soon.
