Follow up studies: Having foot get run over by a car can result in serious injury to the skin and underlying soft tissue and bone. The x-rays may initially not show any fracture if it is a small fracture. The fracture site may also be obscured on an x-ray due to bony overlap. If symptoms persist you may need a follow up xray, a ct or an MRI to determine the cause of your pain.
