Common: If your anemic at the onset of pregnancy and don't take care of the anemia, it will worsen as the pregnancy proceeds. Talk to your doctor.

Agree with Dr. S: If oral pills are not effective you could be treated with a one time intravenous infusion of iron. Talk to your doctor. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
