Most likely.: It is most likely a small hematoma. This is a bruise with a pocket of accumulated blood in the muscle under the skin. It will go away.

It should: But it may take a while. If the swelling is severe, getting larger, painful or red then see your doctor. If not, gentle massage 2x/day may help. If still present after 3-4 weeks mention it to your doctor.
