Yes: If a patient has a generalized seizure while driving, standing at a height or engaged in any potentially hazardous activity they can have a fatal accident. Status epilepticus (continuous generalized seizure without recovery between successive attacks) can be fatal by causing choking, cardiac arrhythmia or exhaustion. Stopping anti-seizure medicines suddenly can cause status epilepticus.
