Palpitations : There are a number of causes for the sensation of palpitations. If you otherwise have no symptoms of chest pain or lightheadedness or shortness of breath, then the symptom is most likely to be caused by occasional extra heart beats. See if you can check your pulse and see if the heart rate is fast or irregular - if so - you need to talk to your doctor.
