Several possibilties: Two possible causes for your symptoms are reflux of acid from the stomach (gerd) or tonsillitis. The former may cause acid burn of the back of the throat and the latter would be of infectious origin. Gerd is a GI problem and tonsillitis is an ENT problem.

Infection: Most likely an infective process, possibly sinus infection with constant drainage. See your physician to be evaluated.
