Persistent fever: Besides re-evaluation during the bouts of of fever, please ask her doctor to perform a urinalysis, urine culture, blood culture. Tests for ebv virus and lyme disease. If the fever comes monthly instead of every 4 months, ask her pediatrician to rule out pfapa.

ENT surgeon: Some time children get unexplained fever, repeatedly. Even though tonsils may not appear to be inflamed, removing tonsils sometimes takes care of the problem. Consult an ENT surgeon.
