Lots of issues!!: Prozac (fluoxetine) has a long half-life so if you should not be withdrawing every day. Maybe you primary serotonin abnormality. Maybe a touch of mania? Hypomania? Ssris do help with pain issues via the brain transmitters. Think flesh/tissue and not bone/ligament/disc w chronic pain! began selfcare with a wellness programs, vits, magnesium sleep hygiene, exercise massage, my fav is acupuncture/trigger pt. Inj.

Not for pain per se.: I agree with dr rodrigues that prozac, (fluoxetine) and especially it's metabolite, has a long half-life, so being more talkative before you take the it should have very little to do with any major fluctuation in blood level. Perhaps it has to do with the time of day rather than the prozac, (fluoxetine) or it could be psychological? In terms of pain the literature suggests snri > ssris like Prozac (fluoxetine) in diminishing pain.
