It varies: Depending on the fluid intake. Normal urine output is 1.5-2 liter/day. Excessive intake of coffee increases frequency of urination as caffeine is a mild diuretic and stimulates urine production.

Urine output: Adequate hydration goal to keep kidney function healthy is to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water a day. Your urine should be light, not dark, yellow with good hydration. Frequency of urination depends upon your bladder capacity. Urinating several times a day and once during the night would be average for drinking close to 2 quarts of fluids and urinating roughly that amount per 24 hours.
