Maybe: Prosthetic devices are the mainstay of reconstructive surgery today. Although we do not know exactly what the future will hold, there is a tremendous amount of research being done to identify biologic means to replace faulty or worn out body parts. It will be interesting to see the developments over the next several decades, but the results of research remain uncertain at this time.
