A member asked:

Anyone know about sarcoma and whether it is a serious cancer?

Yes they are: Sarcomas are embryo logically mesodermal tumors like muscle bones , supporting tissue etc, if they are not detected early and not treated they are just as bad as carcinomas, . They tend to spread by blood stream not by lymphatics , usually resistant to radiation.

It is serious: For a good overview, see this page at the national cancer institute for patients: http://www.Cancer.Gov/cancertopics/pdq/treatment/adult-soft-tissue-sarcoma/patient.
