My boyfriend has ewing sarcoma cancer. is there any positive news about this?

Not new, but...: The july 2011 issue of the journal "cancer" reports just under 70% long-term survival. Since this was 0% before modern treatment, this is good news. There is talk of arsenic trioxide for tumors in this family and some animal work. Remember that nothing that anybody did caused his ewing's, and be there for him whatever happens.

Ewing sarcoma: Ewing sarcoma is a very treatable bone and soft tissue sarcoma that generally affects adolescents and young adults. The positive news is that in its localized (non-metastatic) setting it is very treatable and curable (about 70% survival) with appropriate chemotherapy, surgery and/or radiation therapy. In its metastatic stage, ewing sarcoma is more difficult to treat and the prognosis is poor.
