Why ?: Ipecac is a medication well known for its ability to cause vomiting.It was used for decades to help with toxic ingestion in kids, but fell into disfavor when evidenced based studies found it made no difference.Misuse by those with feeding disorders is common & its toxic potential has led many to call for its removal from public access.
