A lot of effects: While dialysis is essential to survival by replacing kidney function unfortunately there is a price to pay with that. Dialysis patients are anemic ( low blood counts) and require medications for that , they have many problems with their calcium and phosphorus level. Patients and especially men mostly can be depressed and they lack sexual desire. They may have weight loss and peripheral nerve damag.

Dialysis Effects: In general, i can think of two - one is being tired much of the time, and the other is having a lower sex drive. People who are on dialysis can also feel depressed either from the effects of long-standing renal failure or just because they have a chronic disease. Therefore, if you or anyone you know has chronic renal failure and is not doing well, this person really needs to talk about it.
