Straightforward: Sickle cell trait is not a disease, it is a genetic mutation. In most cases it has no health problems associated with it. The only thing to be "done" for it is to ensure the person with it understands the significance that having it might have on their children. Iron deficiency responds to iron therapy; depending on the pt's age and situation tests may be needed to determine why it developed.
