How do you tell the difference between bleeding from a broken hymen and bleeding from your period?

See your gyn: Your gyn can do an exam and see where you are bleeding from, obviously if you had intercourse and u were not on your period it would be from the hymen , if you are on your period if you are bleeding longer than the normal time , most likely from the hymen, but do not guess see your gyn.
