Depends: Most tick bites are harmless but many can carry infectious diseases. There are many types of tick-borne illnesses and the symptoms vary; but for most, if a rash develops around the site or elsewhwere, or other symptoms like severe headaches, muscle or joint pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, chills, or malaise occur after the bite, be seen by a physician asap.
