A member asked:

How quickly does a punctured lung need to be treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ASAP: If the lung is indeed punctured (knife, gun shot wound, broken rib, etc), you need to be in the emergency room asap. Though not all chest wall injuries include lung injury, it is best to be safe and get checked.
