Shortness of breath: Typically emphysema causes shortness of breath without wheezing or congestion - just air hunger. There are many causes of this symptom however so testing is required for a proper diagnosis.

See below: Shortness of breath, especially on exertion; cough - usually dry; fatigue and general tiredness; loss of weight especially if advanced. Go to a doctor, they can diagnose, quantify and treat it for you. And if you doubt what you hear, come back to healthtap.
