Several effects. : Antiandrogens act by blocking the binding of testosterone & Dht to the androgen receptor. This is used in advanced prostate cancer, usually in combination with other medications in androgren deprivation therapy (adt). It serves to slow the progression of prostate cancer and delay metastases. Side effects include loss of libido, impotence, hot flashes, and breast tenderness & gynecomastia.
