Not directly: Pregnancy cannot cause bipolar, but if you are bipolar or are genetically predisposed to bipolar then the hormonal changes of pregnancy can exacerbate the mood swings. To some extent mood swings may be normal during pregnancy. There are some medications used for bipolar that are safer than others during pregnancy. See a psychiatrist if you are concerned.
