Later but little!: It is a later used term for metabolic syndrome once vascular disease, usually of the heart is detected. Nonetheless, Insulin resistance is the universally agreed driving force. In cardiac dysmetabolic syndrome, diabetes 2 is usually present, but a very sad statistic is that one half of type 2 diabetics are only diagnosed after their first heart attack or stroke.
