Addiction & death: Mixing Cocaine with heroin is generally referred to as a "speedball" -- and is extremely addictive. Using benzodiazepines such as xanax (alprazolam) together with Cocaine or amphetamines can be called a "speedball" also. People apparently think the "downer" will limit the heart rate effects of the Cocaine or amphetamines -- like a pharmacological cocktail that's well-controlled. It's not, though.
