A member asked:

How long does irritability last after someone stops marijuana?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 4-6 weeks: Usually, after one month following cessation of cannabis, folks say they begin to feel much better. Often times, my patients tell me that they seem to have very vivid dreams for a while, and when the vivid dreams stop, their irritability lifts. For heavy chronic users, it may even take longer than 4-6 weeks. Try to notice how each day, you feel a little better than the last. Best wishes.
