What asthma medicine can i take without negative side effects?

Not many: Singulair (montelukast) is probably the medicine with the least side effects. Inhaled steroids such as flovent, asmanex etc are also pretty safe but you can get hoarseness or thrush if you don't rinse after use.

See below: This depends on how you define "bad side effects". All medicines have side effect, some worse than others and depending on the individual. Thus, a testing period is usually done to see how one reacts to the medicines. See you doctor for more info.
