It varies: Osgood schlatter disease is a condition in which the proximal aspect of the tibia, at the site of insertion of the patellar tendon, becomes tender and painful. It is usually aggravated by jumping activities. It is treated by activity modification, rice, and sometimes bracing. The length of time patients are symptomatic varies froma few weeks to on and off for seeral years.
