I have hypothyroidism-- is it bad to use skincare products that contain soy?

No: Soy taken orally might interfere with levothyroxine absorption when it is taken at the same time. This really applies to hypothyroid infants taking soy milk.

No but why?: I don't believe you will absorb enough soy from a skincare product to influence your hormonal status, so it won't harm you. I only wonder why you would bother. Soy doesn't have any beneficial effects on the skin, so why would you try to use them as opposed to other products?
