A member asked:

My antinuclear antibodies (ana) test came back positive--what could this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on titer: A high titer result suggests an auto-immune disorder, but, there are many false positives. Any lab result needs to be interpreted in the context of clinical and other lab findings. Consult your doctor.
