Be Careful: Not sure what you mean by low adrenal function, but dhea is a mild testosterone like steroid which could cause virilization if you're female and might even lead to some gynecomastia if you're male because of ultimate estrogen conversion as part of normal metabolic pathway. If you have adrenal insufficiency, an endocrinologist should care for you; treatment is not dhea. Dhea is not w/o side effects.
