How can one stop using afrin (oxymetazoline) without rebound congestion?

Rebound: The doctor usually lets you use it on one side for two to three weeks while he uses steroid nasal spray on the other side and then uses the steroid spray on the remaining side after that or combnies it azelastine if you are allergic.
