Medium to short: If complications of cirrhosis, ie, end-stage liver disease manifestations are present and multiple, usually less than two years, especially if progressive or multiple.

Depends on liver #'s: You can get average survival or mortality data from tools used initially for determining surgical candidates or risk. Search online for childs-pugh calculator and prognosis (fluid in the belly is called ascites) (and compare with meld calculator and prognosis). You will need to talk to your doctor about individualizing data from these calculations to see if they even apply to your situation.
