Viral,bacteria,fungi: Many skin rashes are caused by infections such as herpes, zoster, staph, and tinea. These rashes are all contagious and need to be treated.

Impetigo: Impetigo and scabies are two which came to mind. People with chickenpox are quite contagious although not necessarily through the skin alone.
